2ND ANNUAL USA DANCE REGIONAL TEAM MATCH

This will be the second year of the USA Dance Regional Team Match.  From the National Qualifying Events in each of our six regions, we will invite the top couples who live and compete in that region’s NQE, to dance as a team that will officially represent their fellow members from that region.  If there is no couple from the region who qualifies, a couple from another region will be aksed to represent the region. The couples representing the regions will be those Championship Youth, Adult and Senior couples who place highest in their respective NQEs.  The teams will compete in all four styles, but each age level will only be showcasing two dances in each style.   This year Junior II will be dancing Latin & Standard, Youth will be dancing Latin & Standard, Adults will be dancing Latin, Standard, Smooth & Rhythm and Senior will be dancing Latin & Standard.  Actual dances will be determined at a later date.      

        On Sunday night at Nationals, the 6 regional teams will go head to head.  All couples of the championship team will
        (a) the couples and region will have bragging rights for the entire year, as will the winning team’s entire region,
        (b) the couples will have their names entered into the Listings for Past Champions,
        (c) the couples along with the team will be highlighted in an article in the American Dancer following Nationals, and last but not least,
        (d) each couple will receive 1 free entry to the 2011 Nationals. (Both members of the couple will need to have competed in the Regional Team Match and have been on the winning team to receive the one free entry.)
