TREASURE TIER: NATIONAL QUALIFYING EVENT CIRCUIT

This year at our 30-anniversary Nationals DanceSport Championships we will once again be thanking our members who attend multiple NQEs.  This is not a merit based program, it’s truly a "thank you for supporting our events" to those couples who go our NQEs.  Since scheduling of National Qualifying Events preclude any couple attending all 8 events before the 2010 USA Dance National DanceSport Championships, the award levels for both Emerald and Diamond Tiers have been adjusted to reflect this conflict.

Overall we have had 26 couples who are eligible for a Treasure Tier pin; 8 couples who achieved Ruby Tier, 4 who reach Emerald Tier, and 1 who reached Diamond Tier. All deserve our thanks for their support of our NQEs.

Ruby Tier

The following couples who have reached the Ruby Tier: Roger & Linda Blashfield, Samuel & Renee Dapore-Schwartz, Thomas & Marie Osterland, David & Connie Taylor, Rockie & Mary-Lou Troxler, Ted & Eunmee Damianos, Robert & Lisa Renner, and Andrzej Lelewer & Mary Beth Beasley.

Couples who attend 4 Nationals Qualifying Events (NQEs) will have attained the Ruby Level and will receive:
-- lapel pins with a red ruby (faux) stone
-- one free entry at nationals (the entry is for the couple and both members of the couples must have attended at least 4 NQEs)
-- one free program/couple
-- the couples’ names listed in the National program
-- the couples’ names listed in the AD following Nationals

Emerald Tier

I'd like to congratulate Vince & Irina Feingold, Scott & Sarah Coates, Stephen Nadeau & Amanda Stearns and Mike & Rose-Ann Lynch for reaching the Enerald Tier. These couples should be commended for attending 5 NQEs that took place around the country. Their support of our qualifying events is greatly appreciated.

Couples who attend 5-6 NQEs, will have attained the Emerald Level and will receive:
-- lapel pins with a green emerald (faux) stone
-- two free entries at nationals (the entry is for the couple and both members of the couples must have attended at least 5 NQEs)
-- one free program/couple
-- VIP seating for one evening session of their choice at Nationals
-- the couples’ names listed in the National program
-- the couples’ names listed in the AD following Nationals

Diamond Tier

I'd like to congratulate Joseph & Shelly Brogan for moving out of the Emerald Tier and into the Diamond Tier. This couple should be commended for attending 7 NQEs that took place around the country. Their support of our qualifying events is greatly appreciated.

The couples that attend at least 7 NQEs will have achieved the Diamond Tier and will receive:
-- lapel pins with a white diamond (faux) stone
-- three free entries at nationals (the entry is for the couple and both members of the couples must have attended at least 7 NQEs)
-- one free program/couple
-- VIP seating for the entire weekend
-- the couples’ names listed in the National program
-- the couples’ names listed in the AD following Nationals
Last year, no couple was able to achieve this level, but I know that there are at least a few couples out there who are equal to the challenge and who will be aiming for those 3 free entries to Nationals 2010. 

At the 2010 Nationals, we will most likely be presenting the Treasure Tier couples and their awards during the Friday and Saturday evening sessions.
