It is my privilege to welcome you to the web site for the 2012 USA Dance National DanceSport Championships. The championships will take place on March 30 - April 1, 2012, in Baltimore, Maryland. All of us involved hope you will join us in creating an exciting weekend full of fun and lasting memories.
The USA Dance National 2012 DanceSport Championships will occur at our home in Baltimore, the Marriott Renaissance Harborplace Hotel. The Renaissance is a fabulous AAA 4-Diamond hotel with a spectacular view of Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
Here you will watch the very best Junior, Youth, Adult, Senior I, Senior II, and Senior III couples from all over the United States as they compete to be selected as the United States champions and to represent the USA in the 2012 International DanceSport Federation Standard, Latin, and 10-Dance World Championships. Choosing the right couples to represent America requires everyone's help, both by dancing at your very best and also by cheering as loud as possible to indicate which couple you think is the best. So make plans now to attend!
Since our final day is Sunday April 1st (April Fool's Day) our grand finale will be a brand new event appropriate for the day! Please be sure to attend the Sunday night session to see what great finale we have planned. For the fourth year in a row, we have kept competitor entry fees, and spectator admission fees to all sessions the same low price. Additional, we have kept our great VIP program, and there will be workshops of interest to our competitors, spectators, coaches and organizers. Please make sure you return to this web site frequently to see what will be offered.
If during the competition, you have only a few minutes to grab something to eat before your next event, or you find that you are missing a shoelace, or that you've run out of hair spray, all you'll need to do is go out the door and take the escalator down to the mall.
When you're not watching the dancing or participating in the great social events planned for this weekend, you'll be just across the street from the Baltimore Harbor with its boat rides,and the aquarium. The Hard Rock Cafe is a few steps away and many unique stores and eateries make the Baltimore Harbor a 'destination' spot. Plus, let's not forget that right outside the door will be some of the finest restaurants in the area. In fact, there's so much to do in the area, what with Washington DC being 30-40 minutes away, we recommend that you extend your stay and enjoy the many sights that Baltimore has to offer!
